Online CAH game?

edited January 2015 in JoCo Cruise
I'm fairly sure it is too late for this cruise, but I just stumbled on to this web based Cards Against Humanity clone with source code (http://pyx-1.pretendyoure.xyz/zy/and it seems like it would be awesome to have something like this running on the Twitarr server. Implementing this is well outside of my capabilities, but I'm just throwing it out there to see if some crazy person picks it up.

  • Ok, I have been playing with it and I got this game server running from a thumb drive without installing anything. I have tested it in Windows7 and 8.1. The client can join games from anything that has a browser. The play-ability is so-so on phone and ok on a tablet.

Really playing online when not in the same place as the other players takes a lot of the fun out of the game. But the way I see it, playing the web based version of CAH would be easier while standing around in groups in line waiting for shows or in spaces other than the game room that don't have tables available.

I really doubt the ports the game server needs (8080 and 5432) will be open to everyone on the ship, but just in case anybody wants to give it a shot, you can download it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxk4HsuZWATlY2JueUFVYm5XQWs/view?usp=sharing

Just unzip it to a folder on a thumb drive or your hard drive and run the "Start CAHserver.Bat" file. After the server is running, goto http://127.0.0.1:8080/cah or http://<your computersIP address>:8080/cah.
